2008/09 Ted Messer Cup Final result:

Tovil beat Burham “A” in the final.

In the finals held at Culverstone Community Centre on Sunday 3 May 2009 the results were as follows;

Semi-finals:

Culverstone “B” 15 –Burham “A” 17

Langley “A” 15 –Tovil 16 after an extra end

Final: Tovil 27 – Burham “A” 14

Burham “A” and Tovil line up before the final with Ted Messer.

The teams were:

Burham “A”: Percy Boozer, Jim Davey, Pat Boozer, Jan Davey, Jean Skinner and Peter Blackman.

Tovil: Gary Allard, Jackie England, Lee Smith, Chris England Andrew Connors and Gary Best.

TED MESSER. It was with regret that the League had to report that Ted Messer died on Sunday 24 May 2009. Ted was a member of Tovil SMBC back in 1987 when with others he helped create the Maidstone & District Short Mat Triples League.

Langley “A” beat Culverstone "B" in the final.

In the finals held at Downswood Community Centre on Sunday 27 April 2008 the results were as follows;

Semi-finals:

Snodland “B” 18 – Culverstone “B” 19

Langley “A” 25 – Ryarsh “A” 16

Final: Langley “A” 17 - Culverstone "B" 14

Langley “A” and Culverstone "B" line up before the final.

The teams were:

Langley “A”: Mick Sayer, Matt Dillon, Sue Town, Bob Whiting, Thomas Coles & Tim Rycraft.

Culverstone "B": Roger Parker, Tony Horn, Simon Luff, Rita Horn, Barbara Parker & John Rider.

Culverstone "B" beat Boughton Monchelsea in the final.

In the finals held at Snodland Community Hall on Sunday 29 April 2007 the results were as follows;

Semi-finals:

Downswood 9 - Boughton Monchelsea 19

New Ash Green 17 - Culverstone "B" 19

Final: Culverstone "B" 30 - Boughton Monchelsea 12

Culverstone "B" and Boughton Monchelsea line up before the final.

The teams were:

Culverstone "B": Roger Parker, Tony Horn, John Rider, Rita Horn, Judith Drew & Simon Luff.

Langley "A" beat Culverstone "A" in the final to retain the cup for the second year.

In the finals held at Ryarsh Village Hall on Sunday 23 April 2006 the results were as follows;

Semi-finals:

Burham "A" 11 - Langley "A" 23

Balfour 19 - Culverstone "A" 20. After an extra end.

Final: Langley "A" 24 - Culverstone "A" 15

Langley "A" and Culverstone "A" line up with Ted Messer before the final.

The teams were:

Langley "A": Reg Wager, Tim Rycraft, Sue Town, Thomas Coles, Bob Whiting & Mick Sayer.

Culverstone "A": James Croft, Hazel Rider, Mike Hanrahan, John Rider, Roy Copley & June Hanrahan
